To better understand how freshmen adapt to dormitory life and the English-only learning environment, the event “A Meeting with the Department Chair” gathered all first-year students for open discussion. Students raised concerns about roommates, daily routines, and fully English courses. Chair Dr. Tsai offered practical suggestions on study strategies, time management, and building confidence. The session strengthened communication and helped freshmen adjust more smoothly to both academic and residential life.
