歐洲文化藝術行旅:藝術與觀看」單元，特邀專家帶領現場體驗，如何通過觀看，來探索作品的象徵和指涉。內容包括 (一)甚麼是聖像畫的默觀？ (二)步驟說明 (三) 實際體驗 (四)分享及討論。演講人首先簡要說明了圖像默觀的由來， 接著透過一「破冰」的團體活動，幫助同學熟悉如何觀看一般圖片，藉由分享外感官對作品的感知，逐一進入內感官。在小組討論、分享及為圖片命名的過程中，開始明白圖像觀看意涵。當正式進入主題觀看(以Duccio 之Maestà為例)，以及進一步默觀時，已然能建立與作者及其創造畫面，乃至畫中故事人物間的關係想像之中，是一次對西洋中世紀圖像藝術切身體察的難得經驗！雖仍有不解，但已引發好奇及興趣，可供進一步探究。
